Generative Art Coming To Uganda

The Creative Tribe’s monthly Popup Gallery September edition is set to be the 1st video visual arts exhibition in Jinja and possibly Uganda faturing Scarlet Motiff.

Jinja, Uganda. Come 3rd September 2020, art enthusiasts from all over are invited to attend The Creative Tribe’s Popup Gallery at The Innovation Village Jinja. The exhibition which is now in its 8th edition will feature the work of generative artist Scarlet Motiff, his work applies data to create abstract visuals using real-time computer-generated graphics. This mesmerizing video collection titled “Generative Dreams” explores motion and light.

Through the monthly popup gallery, we hope to establish a full-time exhibition space in Jinja for creatives in the visual arts

says art director and curator Nicole Remus. Jinja has a very vibrant creative community and The Creative Tribe is working to harness its creative potential.

She further added that

one of the aims of the monthly Popup Gallery is to make art more accessible to the community

The Popup Galley is hosted in partnership with The Innovation Village (TIV) Jinja located at Plot 5 Main St., Jinja. The Popup Gallery is a 2-in1 event with a visual arts meetup starting at 2:30 pm and the gallery opening immediately following the meetup at 4:00 pm. The Visual arts meetup is a peer-to-peer session free to all visual artists to knowledge share, network, and learn from one another.

Entrance is free to all Creative Tribe & TIV members, visuals artists, and students. Anyone not in the aforementioned categories will pay 5,000/= only for entrance.
